Chief minister Vasundhara Raje will spend a night at elephant village on November 16. She was supposed to visit on November 6 but due to busy schedule, the programme was postponed.

During her stay, the CM would have conversation with mahouts and Britain’s elephant family. She would survey elephant family’s lifestyle and ecosystem of the elephant village.

It has been developed on Thailand’s theme. The government has spent Rs 8 crore to give it a new look including a tourist guest house, restaurant, cyber facilities, shades, safari and lighting. Besides, to add to its beauty an entry gate, a new pathway and an additional pond for the elephants have also come up here. Not just tourists, but scholars and families of mahouts will also get the facilities.
