On the first day of her Rajasthan Gaurav Yatra which is beginning from Rajsamand, chief minister Vasundhara Raje will be showering sops on the people of the area. She would be inaugurating and laying foundation stone of as many as 33 projects meant for this region. It is expected that these projects will be inaugurated from the public meeting venue itself by Raje. This will be a unique feature of the commencement of the Yatra from Rajsamand region, where the state BJP is starting its electoral campaign.

As the focus of Raje government is health, education and drinking water, therefore these projects include opening of primary health centres, model schools, water projects for various cities in this region, road works and 33 KV sub stations. These projects are spread over constituencies like Bhim, Nathdwara, Kumbhalgarh and Rajasamand and run into crores of rupees.

Apart from these, since the government is focusing on construction of panoramas of local deities and heroes, two panoramas will also be dedicated to the public.

One is the panorama of Rana Raj Singh at Rajasmand Jheel area while the other is that of Panna Dhai in Kameri area, will be dedicated to the public.

Rana Raj Singh was the Maharana of Mewar who had fought Mughal emperor Aurangzeb many a times. He is a revered figure in Mewar belt. While Panna Dhai, who was nursemaid to Udai Singh of Mewar, had sacrificed her son in place of Singh when he was attacked by the enemies.

Apart from these inaugurations, foundation stone laying ceremony for 13 projects, of which 12 are drinking water supply projects, will be done by the chief minister on Saturday. These water schemes are for places like Sanghat Kalla, Kelwara, Rajsamand, Galwa, Dowda and other regions all coming under Rajsamand.

Foundation stones for construction a girls college in Rajsamand will also be laid by Raje on the first day of her yatra. The college was being demanded by the parents of the girls and also by Rajasamand MLA Kiran Maheshwari who is also higher education minister.
