Vasundhara Raje: Speed up work to develop religious sites

Chief minister Vasundhara Raje has directed Rajasthan Heritage Protection and Promotion Authority to work on a war footing to install panoramas of great saints of various communities and sects across the state. Raje met the members of the Authority at her residence on Tuesday.

Four new members of the authority met Raje and thanked her for their appointment in the body. The CM praised the works carried out by the authority, particularly installation of panorama of saints who are revered by the masses.

“Our government has worked to protect history of Rajasthan by installing panoramas of saints and heroes for the future generations. Now, the authority should focus on achieving tasks of installing remaining panoramas and development works of religious sites. I hope the new members will work efficiently to achieve the task,” Raje told the members. 

Onkar Singh Lakhawat, chairman of the authority, assured the CM that the body will achieve goals set for installation of panoramas of heroes and saints.

With the installation of panoramas the government is eyeing to woo masses ahead of Assembly elections. The authority, since its formation four years back, is engaged in installing panoramas across the region and successfully unveiled a few panoramas and also laid foundation stones for many.

Chairman of Rajasthan Madarasa Board, Mehrunnisa Tank also met Raje and thanked her for conducting National Child Health programme.
