A meeting of BJP legislatures was held on Sunday, under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje, In this meeting, Chief Minister Raje gave a word of encouragement to BJP legislators, saying ,“There is no need to be disappointed with the bypoll results.We will work together and show that we are resilient.”

In the meeting, Raje communicated her upbeat mood to the legislators.In the assembly, the opposition will launch a scathing attack on the ruling party. A meeting of the BJP legislature group was held to give a befitting reply to questions.According to sources, the Chief Minister instructed all MLAs to remain present during the proceedings of the assembly and stay together.Raje said that all the MLAs will respond to the attacks of the opposition by a show of strength. “Do not allow the opposition to dominate and raise questions related to your area,”she said.

While addressing the meeting, Raje added.“The by-election results are a wake up call for us. We are reviewing it despite having undertaken so much of development work.Why did this situation occur? There is no need to be disappointed with these results. We will do well together and succeed again.”The Chief Minister asked the MLAs to make people aware about the development work undertaken in their respective assembly and let the people know how much development has been undertaken compared to the last government. State President Ashok Parnami addressed the MLAs and said,“These results are a wake up call, which we are analyzing. As far as development is concerned, our government has undertaken many projects. We will succeed again. Parliamentary Affairs Minister Rajendra Rathore said,“By staying united, we have to counter the opposition.”

NEW BJP CHIEF?

  • After the defeat in the by-elections, the BJP may change its state leadership. According to sources, the central leadership may remove Ashok Parnami and appoint a new state president for Rajasthan.
     
  • Either Union Minister Arjun Meghwal and or state cabinet minister Arun Chaturvedi are the front-runners for the post, according to sources.
