Chief minister Vasundhara Raje’s unexpected visit to Bharati Bhawan and meeting with Khetriya Pracharak Durgadas has sent the rumour mill in overdrive on Tuesday. The visit has given rise to the speculation about organisational reshuffle and political postings.

As per the schedule, Raje left for Udaipur on Tuesday morning from where she was supposed to fly to Gujarat to take part in election campaign. However, the flight to Gujarat had to be cancelled due to inclement weather. So, the CM returned to Jaipur in the evening but instead of going to her residence, she drove straight to Bharati Bhawan and held discussion with Durgadas. It is still unclear whether Raje met the RSS leader on her own initiative or she was called there.

During the  hour-half meeting both reportedly discussed the  current political scenario in the state ahead of three bypolls which have tabbed a semifinal ahead of Rajasthan assembly election. The fourth anniversary of Raje government falling on December 13 was also part of the discussion, said the sources.

Although the Raje government has entered the final leg, some important political postings including Rajasthan housing board chairman and several local bodies are still lying vacant. This has hurt the aspirations of senior leaders and a sort of disgruntlement has surfaced in the inner circle of the organisation. These issues were apparently were discussed in the meeting, however the office of Raje did not confirm any of these.

Earlier, at the Dabok airport, the CM utilised the time taking feedback from government officials about the schemes and programs. Udaipur Divisional Commissioner Bhawani Singh Detha apprised her of development works in the division and local issues.

Raje directed him to complete works within deadline. Health and education related schemes were also discussed in the meeting. Independent MLA from Vallabhnagar Randhir Singh Bhindar also reached the airport and paid courtesy call on Raje.
