Vasundhara Raje, Ashok Gehlot get ready for Gujarat Kurukshetra

There is still time for the Assembly polls here. and may be a warm up session is required. Raje and Gehlot will now be taking their battle to a new turf outside Rajasthan. The new battleground is Gujarat and both are moving their armies; the party workers to the neighbouring lands of Gujarat to partake in the electoral war. Gehlot is party incharge for polls in Gujarat while CM Vasundhara Raje would be campaigning for her party.   

Congress has handpicked a hundred workers who would be campaigning for the party. Over a hundred handpicked Congressmen were called to Delhi on Thursday and addressed by party vice-president Rahul Gandhi, where Ashok Gehlot was also present. They would be moving to Gujarat after Diwali and have been given a brief by the top brass of the party about their role and duties in a particular area in the assembly polls. Goes without saying that Gehlot had a major role in their selection.

On the other hand, BJP would be sending the newly trained vistaraks to campaign in neighbouring state. The vistaraks, a model developed to strengthen party roots, have been trained to function on the lines of the RSS, and their ability to galvanize the booth level worker would be tested.

This would give Rajasthan BJP first hand experience about their utilization in coming state polls.

On the surface it seems like a routine exercise but the fact that party workers are strategically being sent to deliver designated results shows the amount advance planning being effected for the state polls. Which is also an indication of how much is at stake.
