Road and transport sector has got a large number of schemes for development of this sector in this budget. Among the major announcements made in the budget development of emergency landing airstrips on selected highways and mega-highways has been announced.

In a good gesture to the senior citizens, it has been announced by chief minister Raje that the old age people beyond 80 years of age will be given free travel in the buses of the Rajasthan Roadways.

Moreover, one attendant with the senior citizen availing this facility get a concession of 50% in the ticket on these buses.

The front office counters of the regional transport offices (RTO) across the state will be run by the private sector on the way of passport offices.

Along with this, the application process of driving license and vehicle registration process will also be made completely paperless.

For Jaipur, Raje announced that a state level road safety training centre will be opened. This centre will be established with a cost of Rs 10 crore and will help in capacity building for a reduction in death rate in road accidents.

Currently, there are 92 listed bus stands of Rajasthan roadways in the state. In these 30 bus stands do not have the facility of toilets.

Now in this budget, it has been announced to make toilets in all these 30 bus stands. Raje also informed that the district transport offices which do not have fully automated driving track will get a driving track this year.
