Valmiki youth files case against Salman Khan, Shipa Shetty

Salman Khan, the controversy’s favourite child, who has the habit of stirring up a hornet’s nest with his conduct and remarks, is again in the news for the wrong reasons.

His and Shipa Shetty’s controversial remarks about the Valmiki community have triggered protests all over the country and at some places police case were registered against them.

After the lull of about two and a half months, the Valmiki community has again raised its voice against them. This time, a leader of the Valmiki community has filed a police case against the two actors. The case has been registered at the Nagori Gate police station in the SC-ST Act. The investigation is being done by ACP Nishant Bharadwaj of the SC-ST Act Cell. Rajesh Narayan Kandara, resident of Ambedkar Bhawan Rambagh, Kaga Colony, told the police that Salman Khan and Shilpa Shetty used derogatory language in social media with intention to humiliating the Valmiki community. Nagori Gate police has registered the case on Monday in this regard.

There were protests across the country against both actors about two and a half months ago. Their effigies were burnt. A big protest rally was also held in Jodhpur.. During that time Salman Khan’s movie Tiger Zinda Hai was being screened at the cinema halls. Other Dalit organizations, including Valmiki community, opposed the film. The Dalit society had torn posters of the film outside the cinema hall and even burnt the effigy of Salman Khan.

Controversial Remarks

Salman and Shipa Shetty’s controversial remarks about Valmiki community have triggered protests all over the country. After the lull of about two and a half months, the community has again raised its voice against them.
