A meeting was held at PCC headquarters on Sunday to deliberate strategy for up coming Lok Sabha elections. CM Ashok Gehlot, PCC chief and Deputy CM Sachin Pilot and Rajasthan incharge Avinash Pande attended the meeting and shared party strategy for the LS polls.

Addressing the leaders, Pilot directed them to form block committees in coming 10 days to activate grass root level workers and leaders for polls.

“Shakti project workers in 80 per cent booths of 51,000 have been added so. Now the ministers incharge of the districts will tour their respective areas and have dialogue with workers and leaders to solve local issues. Soon block and booth level committees will be formed,” said Pilot.

He asked workers to unify to fight the polls. “We will ensure rebels do not harm poll prospects in Lok Sabha like they did in the Assembly elections. To guide workers Congress chief Rahul Gandhi will address Sewadal conference in Ajmer in February. He would be visiting again in March to address a conference of youths in Udaipur. After this he will also address a conference of office bearers and cells.”

While addressing the gathering Pande said, “A five members election committee will be constituted for the LS polls at the state level. Similar committees will be formed at district level for the polls.”
