Two held for blackmailing and extortion in Kota

Two people were arrested in Kota on the charge of blackmailing and extorting money from a businessman. The accused were today produced before the court that sent them to judicial custody.

One of the two accused Monu alias Ashish Nama (35), a resident of Dadabari area of Kota on Friday noon called Rajesh Jain, a local businessman, to his home and assured him that he would get back Rs. 7 lakh that he had lent to Gyanesh Jain who was refusing to repay. On the pretext of repaying him, Nama took Jain to a house where he also called a woman named Afshana alias Rekha alias Khushabu (29). While the three were in a room, Nama forcibly took obscene pictures and made video clips of Jain with Afshana on his mobile and demanded Rs. 5 lakh otherwise they threatened they would circulate the pictures and video.

Jain tried arrange money but in the meantime he gave the slip and escaped.
 
The victim allegedly that he had to run from pillar to post for getting report registered at a police station. With no police station prepared to lodge his report, he , through friends contacted home minster and at his intervention that the local police agreed to register his FIR.
