The group led by Dr Bimal Soni on Tuesday filed a complaint at the Jyoti Nagar police station alleging irregularities in the Jaipur District Cricket Association (JDCA) election held on March 18.

In the complaint it is alleged that two bona fide voters Shahrukh Khan, secretary of the Maitry Cricket Club, and Mohd Shoiab, secretary of the Rising Cricket Club, were not allowed to cast their vote. Both complainants claim that their names were in the final voters’ list at serial no. 34 and no. 113. They say that when they went to the Rajasthan Cricket Academy to cast their vote, they discovered that two impersonators had already caste vote in their names.

They allege that Lokesh Jain, who was assisting the returning officer, informed them that they cannot cast their vote as two people have voted in their names. On this, the complainants filed their objection to consider these two votes as illegal because they’re cast by non-members. They also asked the returning officer and his assistant to verify their ID numbers, which have been listed in the voting list against their names. But their plea was rejected. They also alleged numerous irregularities during the voting. In the complaint, they have said that action should be taken against Om Sharma, Mohd Iqbal, GP Shukla, returning officer, Lokesh Jain, election agent/election assistant, Rohit Jhalani, convener of Ad Hoc committee.

However, Surendra Pancholi, SHO Jyoti Nagar police station, said that since the election was held under the court directives, he advised the complainants to take their matter to the court. Apart from Shahrukh Khan and Mohd Shoiab, the complaint is signed by Ram Kishan Meena, Saleem Khan, Hasmat Alam and Arun Kucchal.
