Sources said that NWR prepared a list of routes where there is heavy rush and based on that the frequency of trains or number of coaches has been increased accordingly.

The trains which will see a higher frequency, include the Jaipur Udaipur superfast, Sriganganagar-Suratgarh passenger train, Alwar-Khairthal passenger train, Ratangarh-Churu special passenger train, Makrana Prabatsar special passenger train, among others. NWR has increased trips from April 1 to June 30 and most of these trains will undertake 91 more trips. Notably, from the month of April, the examinations get over and summer holidays begin. Since the number of passengers is more and the trips are less many are left in the lurch. However, with the frequency of trips increasing, the availability of seats goes up manifold.

Trains Cancelled

Due to the ongoing works of doubling tracks in the Ajmer division, 14 trains have been cancelled between March 25 and April 3. These include the Jaipur-Ahmedabad express which will remain cancelled between March 26 and April 3. The Jaipur-Bandara express will remain cancelled between March 29 and March 30 while the Jodhpur-Ahmedabad express will stay cancelled between March 27 and April 1.
