Threat from Pakistan: Ashok Parnami gets security

According to sources, Parnami was asked to give money, failing which he was warned that he would have to bear the consequences.

BJP’s former state president Ashok Parnami, who resigned from the post, has received a threat from Pakistan. The state government has deployed jawans for his security after he reported the matter to police.

According to sources, Parnami was asked to give money, failing which he was warned that he would have to bear the consequences.

The threatening messages were sent on WhatsApp for the past three days followed by a voice call on Tuesday. After that, Parnami reported the matter to the police. The government has provided him security, taking the matter seriously. 

In its investigation, the Rajasthan ATS has arrived at the conclusion that the messages were originated in Pakistan and were routed from the US. He was threatened by a person who identified himself as Alibaba Bundel. Similar threats have been received by BJP leaders in other parts of the country. In Uttar Pradesh, 25 MLAs have been asked to furnish Rs10 lakh each, They too have been warned that their family members will be killed if the demand is not met.
