The budget proposes an integrated net of schemes across departments as the government attempts to please all sections. Chief minister Vasundhara Raje had a long list of schemes that will benefit people, especially the farmers and backward areas.
All these schemes, including loan waiver for farmers, incentives for industries and employment for youth, have been rolled out without any additional taxes.
“No new taxes have been levied in the budget and a relief of nearly Rs 650 crore has been proposed,” said Chief minister Vasundhara Raje at a post-budget media briefing at the state assembly. In direction of pleasing all sections, the budget has also addressed the want of government jobs. “An aggregate of 1.83 lakh new vacancies will be released over next few months,” she said.
Employment generation was a major promise that the BJP has made during last assembly elections and the election year budget attempted provision for fulfilling those promises. The opposition too had been raising the question on unfulfilled election promises.
“Almost 500 of the nearly 600 promises made during election rally have been fulfilled over the tenure of our government,” Vasundhara Raje claimed that her government has been successful in the direction.
The budget as the Chief minister Vasundhara Raje claimed is in favour of all ‘sections’ of society and assured that all the promises ‘will be fulfilled’ in tenure of this government.
