Jaipur Traffic Police has made arrangements for those who will be taking a tour of the city to witness the decoration and spirit of Diwali festival till Friday. Separate routes have been marked for those in vehicles and for those who are on foot.

Entrance into the Walled City is only allowed through Sanganeri Gate, Ajmeri Gate and Ghat Gate. Exit is only possible from Chaura Rasta via New Gate and from Sanjay Circle via Sansarchandra Road. No vehicles are permitted in Bapu Bazaar, Nehru Bazaar, and Indira Bazaar. Left side of the lane in Kishanpol Bazaar is solely available for on-foot visitors.Similarly, right side of the lane in Johari Bazaar is made available for them. “Heavy vehicles including low-floor buses, trucks, mini buses, and such others are totally prohibited in the Walled City during the evening for next three days,”said Vishnu Sharma, sub-inspector, Jaipur Traffic Control.

Sharma further informed that Abhay Control Room can directly be contacted at any time of the day for any emergency including requirement of ambulance or fire brigade in any part of the city. Also, ambulance and other service vehicles can only ply from Arogya Path till Tonk Road Control Centre. Special arrangements have also been made in other parts of the city to make commuting easier during the festive week. Those visiting Gaurav Tower through JLN Marg flyover, will be able to access the mall through Mandir Mod only. Similarly, Shanti Path for going to Raja Park can be accessed via Vijay Path through Panchwati Circle.
