State budget on Feb 12 likely, business report tabled

Last budget of this government is likely to be tabled on February 12, while chief minister Vasundhara Raje will give reply on the governor Kalyan Singh’s address on February 9.

The 37th report of business advisory committee (BAC) has listed business of the house which was approved with voice note on the floor on Tuesday. Chief whip Kaluram Gurjar tabled the report.

As per the report, three days, i.e February 6 to 8, have been listed for debate on the governor’s address. On February 9, Friday, Raje will give reply on the address in the house with vote of thanks motion.

No business has been listed for next two days, Saturday and Sunday, which happen to be holiday, as per the report. The budget is expected on Monday when the government will table revenue and expenditure.

All eyes are on the budget as later in the year end general assembly election is slated. This budget, as discussed in political circles, may be populist. Many schemes for social welfare and lot of government jobs may be part of the budget.

The finance department, like previous years, had opened up for public suggestions online which are likely to be incorporated in it, if found feasible. Raje also held meetings with several groups and associations to take their suggestions.

Complete loan waiver to farmers Says Pilot

RPCC chief Sachin Pilot has demanded Raje govermment to announce complete farmers loan waiver in the state budget which may be tabled in the assembly on February 12. He stated promises made by the ruling party for farmers, youth and women in its ‘Suraj Sankalp Patra’ should be fulfilled by the government in its last budget. A white paper on government jobs given till date and irregularities, scams reeked into several departments should be issued by the government too, demanded Pilot.
