Specials trains to meet holiday rush in Rajasthan

Railways has started four Durga Puja and Diwali special holiday trains.

With Durga Puja and Diwali around the corner, Indian Railways has announced special trains to meet the holiday rush. Keeping this in mind, railways has started four Durga Puja and Diwali special holiday trains.

Among these four trains, one will started from Thursday October 11 which is the tri-weekly train between Jaipur and Delhi. Train number 09725 will run from Jaipur station at 7:55 am and will reach Delhi Cantt at 1:20 pm. This train will have stoppage at Gandhi Nagar station also and will also stop at Gatore Jagatpura.  While at Gandhinagar the stoppage is of three minutes, at Gatore Jagatpura it will stop for two minutes. The other stoppages are Dausa, Bandikui Alwar, Rewari, and Gurgaon before final halt at Delhi Cantt.

On return the train number 09726 will leave Delhi at 3:20 pm and will reach Jaipur at 9:20 pm.  This train will run on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays and duration of this holiday festival special train will be from October 11 to November 9.

This train will have three AC chair cars, three second class chair car, three general coaches and two power cars making it a 11-coach train.

There are many more trains linking Jaipur and Delhi, however there are large number of passengers who have to go to various places in North India and for that they take trains from Delhi. As such travelling to Delhi will become a bit easier now in these times of festival.

Apart from Delhi, another destination which gets long list of reservations is Mumbai. Therefore, a weekly train between Jaipur and Bandra terminus has been started from October 17 to November 5 to help the passengers going from Jaipur to Mumbai and on return the train from Bandra terminus to Jaipur will start from October 18 till November 15. 

This will help the passengers from Jaipur, Kishangarh, Ajmer, Bhilwara, Chittorgarh to travel easily to Mumbai.

Another special train between Bikaner and Haridwar will be running on a weekly basis from October 13 to November 10 while a weekly train between Ajmer and Bandra terminus will also start from October 14 to November 11.
