Safety inspection of Reengus-Palsana line held in Jaipur

The rail safety inspection of the broad gauge Reengus Palsana railway line in Jaipur division of NWR  was conducted on Friday.

Sources informed that rail safety commissioner along with other officers conducted inspection of this railway line to decide if its fit for railway traffic or not.

The report of the safety commissioner may come in about a week’s time informed the sources.

The team of officials inspected the various aspects of this broad gauge track by going around in a motor trolley and explored all the technical aspects.

Later a speed trial by a special train was also conducted informed th sources.

If the officials responsible for rail safety track give approval for this track’s safety than the rail traffic can be started on this track.

Before that, on October 17 the trial of this track between Palsana and Reengus was done. On that day, engine ran on the track at the speed of 125 km per hour and it covered the distance of 22 km in 15 minutes.

The officials which had come from Sikar along with engine had given green signal to this trial after which the CRS (commission of rail safety) was done on Friday.

Its note worthy that the work to convert meter gauge track between Jaipur and sikar was started after the rail traffic was completed stopped on the meter gauge track in November 2016. Since than the work is being done.

In the first phase of this project, Sikar to Palsana has been completed.the CRS inspection of the track between Sikar and Palsana was done in the month of February. 

Now the phase between Palsana and Reengus is being completed and after that in the third phase the work between Reengus and Jaipur will be completed.
