Rajasthan Pradesh Congress Committee (RPCC) chief Sachin Pilot lambasted the Raje government for dumping the Rajasthan Public Service Guarantees ACT which was inducted by previous Congress government. This, he claimed, resulted in the pendency of crores grievances forwarded by the masses.

“Our government had brought the ACT which guaranteed disposal of 221 services of 25 departments. The ACT was meant to fix responsibility on the government towards the public. Sadly, the ACT was not implemented in its spirit and currently, crores grievances of the people are pending for disposal,” said Pilot releasing a statement on Wednesday.

The state congress head further accused the government of showing day-dream to the people by making an announcement on boosting infrastructure. Chief minister Vasundhara Raje in her first budget had announced surfacing of 10000 km roads in Rajasthan under PPP (public-private partnership) mode, though not a single KM road constructed till date, he said.  Also, the Raje government proved itself passive towards basic services.

“Due to the shortage of coals, eight units in Rajasthan are closed down. It reflects the lackadaisical approach of the government towards basic service of power to the people in scorching summer. Also, the law and order is in the poor state and not a single day passes without heinous crimes,” said Pilot.

He also took a pot shot on the CM in context of a circular which was issued by Rajasthan Police in wake of Supreme Court’s order in ST/SC act. “The CM accepted that she was not acknowledged of the circular when the police issued it. It shows that people’s interests are being ignored at the government and administration level,” he said.
