Thousands of people living in and around Nasirabad army cantonment area will soon get the benefit of various state and Central government schemes without any hassles. Two days after announcing denotification of four wards, the chief minister Vasundhara Raje on Tuesday promised to denotify the remaining four wards, taking out all eight wards of civil population from the cantonment area. With this, Nasirabad will soon become a municipality.

”The process of denotifying civil areas while merging into Nasirabad Municipality is on with the officials of Defence ministry. The Defence minister Nirmala Sitharaman has already given nod to denotify four wards (4,5,6,7) falling under Nasirabad army cantonment. Now, the remaining four wards will be denotified as well. "A process in this regard has been initiated to table the proposal in the state Cabinet,” said Raje. A by poll is scheduled in Nasirabad which is an assembly constituency of Ajmer district due to the death of MP Sanwar Lal Jat.

With this decision, the common man needn't seek the Army nod for basic needs like electricity, water connection and permission for roads in future. “When Nasirabad becomes a municipality, the civilians living here will avail of all state and Central government schemes easily," said Raje.

Local issues pending for long were addressed by Raje who is touring the Parliamentary constituency for the second time in the last two weeks. She has announced an allocation of Rs 2 crore to develop Gaurav Path at Balwanta Crossing, an underpass or footbridge at Tilwara on National highway-8 and several other projects. Soon, a DTO (district transport office) will be opened at Nasirabad too, said Raje. Other major announcements Raje made include opening of AEN office in Pisangan and army recruitment rally in Ajmer next year.
