Relief to actor Irrfan Khan on smoking in public case: Rajasthan High Court

Rajasthan High Court has dismissed cognisance taken by lower court in the matter of smoking at a public place by film actor Irrfan Khan. The court has said that under the Act, only the authorised officer can lodge a complaint. In such a case, the lower court does not have the right to hear the case. The division bench of Justice GR Moolchandani gave this order while hearing the petition filed by Irrfan Khan.

HC seeks reply on not giving reservation benefit to Divyangans

HC has summoned the reply by issuing a notice to the High Court administration and the Registrar Examination for not giving the benefit of reservation for exemption in age limit of Divyangans in the Rajasthan Judicial Services Examination-2018. The division bench of Justice Mohammad Rafiq and Justice Govardhan Bardhar passed the order during the initial hearing on the petition filed by Rekha Khed. Along with this, the court has ordered to include the petitioner in the recruitment examination.

HC seeks reply on minor girl’s kidnapping

In the case of not recovering the minor girl kidnapped from Muhana Police Station area, Rajasthan HC has sought reply by issuing a notice to Home Secretary, ADG Human Trafficking, Police Commissioner and the Muhana SHO.
