Rajputs want Sanwrad violence probed

The community council and govt had an understanding but someone spread violence and the situation seems suspicious: Lotwara

A Day after violence at Sanwrad, the Rajput community held a press conference at Jaipur once again raising their demands and threatening the government of dire consequences. However, after the press conference two community leaders were arrested by the cops for Wednesday’s violence in Sanwrad but later released on submitting a bond.

Meanwhile, the cops have arrested nearly two hundred people in Nagaur in connection with the violence. Since late last night, the Nagaur police have arrested 220 people in connection with the violence.

“We have arrested 220 people under 151 CRPC. We will now conduct a screening of every individual and find out about their involvement in the violence. Further action will be taken based on that,” informed Paris Deshmukh, Superintendent of Police, Nagaur.

Meanwhile, Sarva Samaj Sangharsh Samiti at Rajput Sabha at Jaipur has again laid stress on their demands while also claiming that the violence was pre-meditated. Girraj Singh Lotwara, president of Rajput Sabha at Jaipur said that a unanimous accord had been met between the council and the state government. However, someone spread violence and the situation seems suspicious. During the violence, the people who were present between the cops were made an accused in the violence and were arrested.

The council has now demanded that the incident be investigated. The council has also warned the government that if it doesn’t bow down to the demands, an agitation would be staged wherein the council will approach every village and inform them of the government’s actions culminating into a national agitation.

Meanwhile later in the day, the Jaipur police arrested Girraj Singh Lotwara and Mahaveer Singh Sarwari, coordinator of Pratap Foundation.
