‘Raje inherited economic mess left by Ashok Gehlot-led Congress regime’, says Narendra Modi

Prime minister Narendra Modi made scathing attacks on the previous Congress government in the state during his hour-long speech at the Amrudon Ka Bagh in Jaipur. He dwelled on the economic mess that the Congress government had left in wake of its departure when Vasundhara Raje took over the reins of state from her predecessor Ashok Gehlot. 

The PM was extremely satisfied  with the way the refinery project in Rajasthan is shaping up. “The work on oil refinery in Barmer is underway. What the previous government had done (stalled) with the project is not hidden from anyone. Every child knows that,” the prime minister said targeting the previous Ashok Gehlot’s government. The refinery project was taken up in the final year of the Gehlot government but work on it could not start for years.
