During the recent visit of party’s national president Amit Shah, national general secretary (organisation) Ramlal gave the vistaraks the ‘mantra’ to strengthen the organisation.
The BJP vistaraks will work as the eyes and ears of the organisation for the upcoming Assembly elections. They will give grades to the public representatives and polling booths in their allotted Assembly area and will work to increase the party base there.
During the recent visit of party’s national president Amit Shah, national general secretary (organisation) Ramlal gave the vistaraks the ‘mantra’ to strengthen the organisation. According to sources, the party had appointed vistaraks about 16 months ago and of these mostly were inexperienced workers. Later, Chandrasekhar made changes in the Vistarak Yojna after taking over the charge of state general secretary (organisation). Chandrasekhar removed old vistaraks and appointed new workers in their place. He changed nearly 80 per cent of the vistaraks. Former vistaraks and pracharakas of RSS, ABVP and other organisations were appointed by Chandrasekhar as BJP vistaraks and all have been given a free hand.
According to sources, Ramlal had said that vistaraks should go to their allotted area and fix the grading of public representatives and polling booths. Both will be given A, B, C and D gradings. If an MLA has won all the elections, then he will be given an A grade. The MLA who lost one or two elections will be given grade B. The one who has won once or twice will be in C grade and the legislator who loses all the elections will be given D grade.
Similarly, the polling booths where the party has always secured a victory, such booths will be graded as A grade booths. The booths where the BJP had to face defeat once or twice will be in B grade, while the booths with a higher percentage of defeat will be placed in C grade. The booth on which the BJP has never won will be in the category of D grade.
The primary job of the vistaraks will to bring the polling booths of B, C and D grade to A grade, so that the party can secure major wins in the upcoming Assembly and Lok Sabha elections. Vistaraks will form a Shakti Kendra (power station) at every 6-10 polling booths. They have been given the responsibility of monitoring the organisation works on the instructions of Amit Shah. Vistaraks will work for booth verification within the next 15 days. They will check the organisation executive set up at each booth. During this time they will see whether active workers are included in the booth executive. Vistaraks will also ensure that all the classes in the booth executive get adequate representation.
