Rajasthan tourism set for a giant leap forward: RTDC

Aimed at furthering discussions and deliberations on the innovations and initiatives in the tourism domain, particularly in smart Tourism, the Department of Tourism and Rajasthan Tourism Development Corporation, Rajasthan organised ‘2nd National Tourism Conclave’ on Friday in Jaipur.  The event was held in collaboration of Elets Technomedia Pvt Ltd,  

Speaking on the occasion, H Guite, Managing Director, RTDC, said, “Thanks to Rajasthan Tourism in recent times the tourism landscape has been surging and thanks to many new initiatives the sector is only set to only row further.”

Terming tourism an important sector not only for Rajasthan but also of the entire country, P Pradeep Kumar Borar, Director, Tourism, Rajasthan said, “Rajasthan is one of the most preferred tourist destination in the country and numerous ongoing pro-tourism projects being executed in the state would give a major boost to the sector in state.” 

Kuldeep Ranka, principal secretary, Tourism, Rajasthan said, “In our bid to make Rajasthan a favoured destination for domestic and international travellers, the government has increased the tourism budget in recent years. Our roadmap for a continued rise in tourist footfall includes improving intra-state air connectivity to ensure that all our tourist spots are well connected.”

Subodh Agarwal, Additional Chief Secretary, Higher & Technical Education, Rajasthan, while highlighting the importance of education-based tourism in the state, apprised the audience of the various key initiatives of the state government in the education domain.

In addition, many foreign diplomats and ambassadors including J Goburdhun, High Commissioner of the Republic of Mauritius to India,  Dato’ Hidayat Abdul Hamid, High Commissioner of Malaysia and Nikolay Rishatovich Kudashev, Ambassador of Russia also graced the occasion. As part of the mega congregation, a grand expo was also organised.
