Rajasthan tops charts in several sectors, says upbeat Vasundhara Raje

Chief minister Vasundhara Raje upheld the fact that Rajasthan ranks among the top states in the country in several sectors.

She insisted that her government has been working tirelessly for the past four years and the development is showing.It has, however, been the opposition that remains in blind denial, she felt.

“Development during the past four years would be visible all around in the state, if only the opposition is to shed away its political spectacles,” said CM Raje in her reply to the debate on motion of thanks for the governor’s address.

She said that the state today is leading the country in sectors like toilet construction and innovations in segments of healthcare, social welfare, IT implementation at governance like e-Mitra, Intra-state air connectivity, and civic supplies Annapurna Bhandars, among others. All these she said is not visible to the opposition.

The chief minister, who listened patiently to the leader of the opposition, was aggressive in her reply and even questioned his absence during the governor’s address to the house. She held the governor’s address as a reflection of state’s progress and thus a sacrosanct democratic document.

As she went ahead to describe achievements of her government, she also talked about efforts made by the BJP government at the Centre under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.  “It’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi who has paid true tributes to Mahatma Gandhi by taking a hefty step of Swachh Bharat,” she said.
