Rajasthan: SUV runs over 4 sleeping on pavement, 2 dead near Jaipur Dairy Plant

A speeding SUV ran over four people sleeping on pavement near Jaipur Dairy Plant near Gandhi Nagar Railway Station, late on Thursday night, killing two persons. 

According to eyewitnesses, the driver of Scorpio SUV could not keep the vehicle under control and as a result, the vehicle rammed into the pavement and ran over four men, who were sleeping there, before coming to a halt. 
Eye witnesses and passersby rushed to help the injured and alerted the cops. Within minutes the police officials reached the spot and an ambulance was also called in which rushed the injured to hospital. 

Meanwhile, the driver of the SUV was surrounded by the people present at the site who prevented him from escaping. 

Soon he was arrested by the police. Till reports last came in, the police was still rushing the injured men to hospital. A case in the matter is expected to be registered once the injured are provided treatment and the deceased is identified.
