Due to the agitation, the Roadways buses for Bharatpur, Agra, Aligarh, Dholpur Hindaun and Karauli have been discontinued with imemdiate effect.
The Gurjars jammed the Agra national highway at Sikandra on Monday. This has created disruption of road travel along the national highway number 21 between Jaipur and Agra.
Due to the agitation, the Roadways buses for Bharatpur, Agra, Aligarh, Dholpur Hindaun and Karauli have been discontinued with imemdiate effect. Sources informed DNA that buses which were coming from Uttar Pradesh and those belonging to the fleet of Rajasthan Roadways are going till up to Dausa on this route. As a result, a lot of passengers were seen taking information for the buses at Sindhi Camp bus terminal and Narayan singh us stand in Jaipur.
On the fourth day of this agitation, two trains have been cancelled by the NWR. Officials informed that Train number 19573 , Okha-Jaipur journey date on Monday while Jaipur-Okha train number 19574 on Tuesday has been cancelled.
Jaipur-Bayana train number 59805 has been short-terminated at Sawai Madhopur and partially cancelled between Sawaimadhopur and Bayana, they added. Apart from these trains, 4 other trains were diverted on Monday. These include Udaipur city Hazarat Nizamuddin which has been diverted via Chanderiya Ajmer Phulera Ringus Rewari route.
Due to the ongoing agitation, passengers are a troubelled lot. Currently, it’s the marriage season and people are not willing to go to these celebrations. While rail route is already disrupted, after Monday’s action of trying to jam the highways people are shying away from travelling.
NWR has also opened a booth to assist and provide information on train cancellation and route change. The number of helpline is 2201403. NWR and other divisions of railways have been issuing regular updates about the trains which are either getting cancelled or diverted. Passengers at railway stations like Jaipur, Kota and Sawai Madhopur have been seeking information on the running status of trains.
