In its second list, the BJP has declared six more candidates for Assembly constituencies of Jaipur district that comprises of 19 seats which include 11 in rural and 8 in city. Of them four sitting MLAs have been retained, thus showing trust in their capability and rejecting any anti-incumbency factor.

On Wednesday evening the party issued a second list giving tickets to two sitting MLAs Kali Charan Saraf from Malviya Nagar and Kailash Verma from Bagru in Jaipur city. While from Jhotwara (Jaipur rural) Rajpal Singh Shekhawat has been retained. For Sanganer, it appears party is taking time to churn name against Tiwari who had won previous Assembly election with historic margin.

In this list the saffron party has repeated seven sitting MLAs in Jaipur city while is yet to find a suitable candidate against Sanganer MLA Ghanshyam Tiwari, who after turning rebel, founded Bharat Vahini Party (BVP).

In the first list released on Sunday the party had declared five candidates, retaining sitting MLAs namely Ashok Parnami (ex-state president) from Adarsh Nagar, Narpat Singh Rajvi from Vidhyadhar Nagar, Arun Chaturvedi from Civil Lines, Surendra Pareek from Hawa Mahal and Mohan Lal Gupta from Kishanpol. Candidates for Malviya Nagar, Bagru and Sanganer seats were not declared in first list.

Out of 11 seats of Jaipur rural the party has also declared three candidates in the fresh list. Premchand Bairwa from Dudu, Kanhaiya Lal Meena from Bassi and Ramavtar Bairwa from Chaksu got the tickets.

Sanganer Undecided

The name of candidate from Sanganer constituency was not declared by the party in the second list too though it has declared all the candidates for Jaipur urban seats. Sitting MLA Ghanshyam Tiwari has left BJP and is this time fighting elections from his newly formed Bharat Vahini Party. Many BJP leaders, including Jaipur mayor Ashok Lahoti, former chairperson of women commission Suman Sharma etc are said to be vying for a ticket from this seat.
