Minister of State for Education Govind Singh Dotasara on Saturday instructed the Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) to postpone the examination.
Now, the RPSC will declare the new dates for the examination.
Principal Secretary (Education) Bhaskar Sawant has written a letter to the RPSC Chairman to make a change in the examination dates.
Sawant, in his letter, said that candidates are demanding the change of the date of recruitment examination so that they can get enough time to prepare.
The RPSC is considering changing the exam date of school lecturer keeping in mind the demand of candidates.
Earlier, a delegation of Akhil Bhartiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) had demanded change in the date of the school lecturer examination by giving a memorandum to the Minister of Education on Saturday. Many students are adopting the path of agitation for their demands to extend the date of school lecturer recruitment examinations by three days.
The students had been staging dharna at the Rajasthan University main gate for last three days. Many girls and boys had spent the night in open in this winter season.
The RPSC issued notification for the school lecturer recruitment examination on November 26. This examination has been scheduled from January 15 to 23 by the RPSC which has been objected to by the candidates.
