Rajasthan: July revenue of NWR increases by 17 per cent

NWR has made an increase of 17% in its originating gross earning in the month of July.

Giving the information, chief public relation officer of NWR Tarun Jain informed that giving excellent performance in the month of July, in this financial year 2018-19, NWR received originating gross earning of Rs 423.53 crores.

This is a higher collection made by NWR as compared to last year’s same month. Infact, NWR in the first 4 months of this financial year, has earned Rs1749.14 crore and this too is 6.7% higher than corresponding months of last year.

The rate of increase in earning from passenger income has been 8.5%, freight loading has been 22.4%, other coaching income has been 28.8% while increased rate from miscellaneous heads of income has been 41.4% this July.

With various measures of passenger management during the peak load time, which includes additional coaches and special rail services for fairs or examinations has led to passenger load also increasing to 4.2% in the month of July.

With recruitment examinations of constables and other examinations, there has been an increase in passenger load of railways increasing its revenue also. Before this, in the month of January, there had been a rise of 26.03 % in freight loading of NWR than last year taking NWR’s growth rate in freight loading sector highest in railways.
