The QCI shall thus extend support to the MSMEs in Rajasthan for their ranking in accordance to ‘zero effect, zero defect’ policy.

“The industries department and QCI shall jointly work for upgradation of MSME products and help them acquire ZED ranking in accordance to international standards,” said industries commissioner, Krishna Kunal after signing the MoU on Wednesday.

The MSME industries shall be registered at the ZED portal and accordingly will be extended Bronze, Silver, Gold, Diamond and Platinum ranking on basis of self-assessment. The QCI shall provide technical support for providing training to officials of the industries department and of the MSME industries regarding provisions of the assessment.

The environment impact of the production process is often taken in consideration by foreign buyers and thus the industries to have ‘zero effect’ shall have an extended market, while ‘zero defect’ shall ensure the buyers about credibility of the products.
