Even after 78 days, the government has not appointed the chairman of RPSC, which is affecting the unemployed youth looking to get appointed for more than 18,000 posts in the government jobs. RPSC has announced the date for RAS pre-examination as August 5. But, without the chairman, the preparations of more than 15 recruitment exams including RAS 2018 have been put on hold by the department.

Even in the electoral year, the Rajasthan government has not appointed the new chairman of RPSC, which might affect their vote bank. The biggest impact of this can be seen on the RAS recruitment exam. All the preparations for the exam including the printing and security of question papers is in jeopardy. If sources are to be believed, the commission will postpone the RAS 2018 examination due to lack of preparations.

Education minister Vasudev Devnani claims that only the final formalities are left in appointing the RPSC chairman. After the announcement of the name of the chairman, the working of the commission will get back to normal.

Devnani is hoping that all the examinations to be organised by RPSC shall take place in the designated time. In the RAS recruitment examination, around 5 lakh candidates have applied for a total of 980 non-TSP and 33 TSP posts.

Similarly, the date of the headmaster secondary school recruitment examination is declared as September 2 and more than 97,500 candidates have applied for 1,200 posts. For the sub inspector recruitment examination 2016 scheduled to be held on October 7, 1.13 lakh candidates have applied for 330 posts.

A coaching centre operator Jwala Singh said that even the dates have not been announced for around 12 exams, which include the posts of school lecturer, senior teacher grade II, assistant apprenticeship advisor, vice-chancellor and superintendent industrial training institute. Lakhs of candidates have prepared for these government jobs, but with the commission not having a chairman, the candidates are worried about their future.
