The Rajasthan High Court has ordered Padmaavat director and producer Sanjay Leela Bhansali to screen the film on February 5. The film will be screened for judicial officers and lawyers at the Satyam Cinema.

After watching the film, the court will make its decision while hearing the petition filed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, actress Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh for cancellation of the FIR against them.  FIR was lodged against Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh in Nagaur in December. The lawyer of Sanjay Leela Bhansali had applied for cancellation of the FIR atthe Jodhpur High Court.

In the previous hearing, the High Court had given the order to Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s lawyer to make arrangement for screening of film. During the hearing on Friday, Bhansali’s lawyers Ravi Bhansali and Nishant Boda informed justice Sandeep Mehta that they are ready to screen the movie on Saturday. On this, Justice Mehta asked him whether the film will be screened at the judicial academy or in any cinema. The lawyers urged the court to watch the movie in a cinema hall because the resolution of the film will not be good at the judicial academy.

During the previous hearing, DCP Amandeep Singh had said that police are ready to maintain law and order during the film’s screening.

The court summoned the police commissioner Ashok Rathore on Friday. There he asked for two-week’s time. Justice Mehta expressed his displeasure over the fact that the Supreme Court has issued a reference to release the film and asking time for this will be negligence of the Supreme Court’s order. Justice Mehta gave orders to the lawyers of Bhansali to screen the film on Monday and ordered the police commissioner to make security arrangements.

The film was released on January 25 in the country except four states (Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat and Goa).
