Rajasthan: Hectic parleys to pacify Gurjars

A draft regarding posts for Gurjars in nursing, accountant recruitment was made and ministers had left it for the DOP to work out modalities.

Hectic parleys have been taking place between the Gurjar leaders and the cabinet sub-committee for the last two day (August 15-16)  to end the deadlock ahead of Rajasthan Sankalp yatra in the Bharatpur division. After several rounds of meeting between the cabinet subcommittee members and Gurjar leaders held at residence of Rajendra Rathore, it was learnt that an agreement has been reached between the government and the Gurjar leaders.

A draft regarding posts for Gurjars in nursing, accountant recruitment was made and ministers had left it for the DOP to work out modalities. Meanwhile, as the yatra has been rescheduled, the blockade on Gangapur Road at Arampura by the Gurjars was lifted on Thursday afternoon giving the government a much needed relief to the government. Since Wednesday, a group of Gurjras had been blockading   Gangapur mega highway at village in Sawai Madhopur.  Gurjar leader Col Kirodi Singh Bhainsla was also present. Meanwhile, meeting of the cabinet subcommittee members Arun Chaturvedi, Rajendra Rathore and HemSingh Bhadana was planned on Wednesday evening. 

The meeting went on for several hours. After that it was decided that another round will be held on Thursday morning at about 7:30am at the residence of Arun Chaturvedi. Interestingly, all the three ministers were present for the meeting at the house of Chaturvedi but the Gurjars did not turn up.

Later, the ministers left and meeting finally took place at the house of Rajendra Rathore in the afternoon.

After that the ministers left for secretariat and spokesperson of Gurjar Aarkashan Samiti said that the final draft for positions in second grate teacher recruitment, nursing and accountant recruitment was prepared.
