The Jaipur division tour of chief minister Vasundhara Raje’s Gaurav Yatra ended with a public meeting in Sikar where the focus was to underscore the benefits of farm loan waiver scheme introduced by the government.

On Monday, CM Raje addressed three public meetings in Fatehpur, Laxmangarh and Sikar.

It was in Sikar from where the farmer movement took off. Speaking in Laxmangarh, Raje mentioned about the schemes the state government had started for the farmers and reminded the people about the farm loan waiver scheme. “The scheme had immensely benefited the farmers,” she claimed. Here, she also welcomed leader Dinesh Joshi, convener of Laxmangarh Vikas Manch, into the party fold. The manch enjoys a significant influence in the region and it was on Monday that it joined hands with the BJP.

On the occasion, supporters of Joshi also joined the party and enthusiastically raised slogans in favour of the ruling BJP.

Vasundhara Raje mentioned about the various works which were done by her government despite the party not having MLA from this constituency and said that her focus is to take everyone along as it is the only way a society can prosper and development can take place.

She mentioned that the demand of people to have access to clean drinking water has also been met and  the project of getting water from the Himalyas via Fatehpur to Laxmangarh will soon be completed. Raje added that people of 164 villages will get the water by  December 2018.

Since the area has a large number of population whose family members are in defence forces, Raje said that she has drafted rules of giving government jobs to the dependents of armymen who attained martyrdom after August 15, 1947.
