Rajasthan: Evening becomes pleasant as weather takes a U-turn

Leaving the people sweating in scorching heat for the entire day, weather in parts of the state including state Capital Jaipur took a U-turn in the evening on Thursday. During the evening cloud activities were observed in the city that brought the temperature down by almost 7 degrees Celsius which was, during the day, observed at the maximum of 42.8 degrees Celsius which was two degrees Celsius above normal. 

Late in the evening, some parts of the outer city witnessed scattered showers and these weather activities provided the people a sigh of relief. Minimum temperature in the city was recorded at 30.3 degrees Celsius. As per MeT report there will be partly cloudy sky on Friday, while maximum and minimum temperature in Jaipur is likely to be at 42 and 30 degrees Celsius respectively. During next 24 hours, parts of the city may witness dust storm or thunderstorm accompanied with light rain.

In other parts of the state also weather remained extremely hot during the day, before cloud and scattered rains brought the mercury down. According to MeT report very light rainfall occurred at isolated places in east Rajasthan during last 24 hours. Though, in west Rajasthan, heatwave conditions continued to prevail at one or two pockets. Maximum temperatures at west Rajasthan including Barmer and Bikaner once again reached above 45 degrees.

Churu was the hottest place in the state where the maximum temperature was recorded at 47 degrees Celsius. The maximum temperature at Jaisalmer and Kota was recorded above 44 degrees Celsius. 

As per weathermen heatwave condition is likely to continue in west Rajasthan while in East Rajasthan, dust storm or thunderstorm with light rain is likely to occur during next 24 hours.
