Pinkesh Jain, the ousted treasurer of Rajasthan Cricket Association, on Wednesday called his removal totally in violation of the RCA constitution and warned of legal action against those responsible. However, Jain in a press conference on Wednesday termed his removal unconstitutional and challenged the authority of arbitrator Shiv Kumar Sharma.
“The so-called removal from the post of RCA treasurer by the self-styled arbitrator Shiv Kumar Sharma is wholly without authority and jurisdiction and in violation of the constitution of RCA,” claimed Jain.
The arbitrator had upheld objections raised against Jain’s election that he was allegedly holding official position in another sport body. However, Jain while rebutting the charges presented documents to establish that he had resigned from the post much before RCA contesting elections.
“There is no denying that I had held post of secretary at District Kabaddi Association Pratapgarh but had resigned from the same on November 26, 2016, which was approved on March 23, 2017, while the RCA elections were held on May 29, 2017,” Jain said.
Azad Singh, who has been appointed as the new treasurer, says: “The documents provided by me are acquired through Right to Information, if there is any discrepancy then the authorities should be held responsible and anyone to has objections should take legal course accordingly,” Azad Singh said.
Rajasthan Cricket Association secretary RS Nandu accused the RCA president CP Joshi of playing politics and said that Pinkesh had resisted Joshi’s corrupt practices following which he has been removed through a conspiracy.
It may be noted that earlier an attempt was made to remove Nandu as Rajasthan Cricket Association secretary by Sharma but that move was declared non est Ombudsman of RCA Justice Gyan Sudha Misra and he is still continuing as the secretary of RCA.
