Rajasthan Congress all set to chalk out strategy for assembly polls

Rajasthan Pradesh Congress Committee (RPCC) chief Sachin Pilot has called a meeting on Monday to ponder over the party’s strategy for the forthcoming assembly polls.

All PCC members, party MLAs and district presidents have been asked to take part in the meeting and offer suggestions to draft a strategy.

“This will be a joint meeting where all senior leaders of the state and districts have been invited. The agenda of the meeting will be drawing a strategy for the Rajasthan assembly election, for which suggestions will be invited,” said a senior party functionary.

Another important agenda of the meeting is to discuss on the preparations of the workers rally scheduled to take place at Ramlila Maidan in New Delhi on April 28. The rally is being organised to protest against the current political situation and the environment of “distrust and intolerance” in the country. Congress president Rahul Gandhi had given the call for the April 28 rally.

“There is an environment of fear, distrust, and intolerance everywhere. In view of the situation, the Congress has decided to organise a rally on April 29 at the Ramlila Maidan in Delhi. In the joint meeting scheduled on Monday, the state party president is supposed to give the task of sending workers to Delhi to the district presidents and MLAs. This is being done to make the rally a grand success,” said another party functionary. AICC general secretary and Rajasthan in-charge Avinash Pandey, Rajasthan co incharges Vivek Bansal, Qazi Nijamuddin, Devendra Yadav and Tarun Kumar, and Leader of the Opposition Rameshwar Dudi will also be present in the meeting.

All Members

All PCC members, party MLAs and district presidents have been asked to take part in the meeting.
