After facing criticism over class 10 and 12 paper leaks that happened last year, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is taking every step to ensure that such incidents do not take place this year and has issued strict guidelines for the conduct of examinations.

As per the new guidelines of CBSE, board exams of class 10th and 12th will start at 10 am. Therefore, students will not be allowed to enter the examination hall after 10 am.

It has informed the schools that no candidate will be allowed to enter in the examination center after 10 am. The board has said that the candidates must visit the examination centre at least one day prior to the date of examination so that they can reach before 10am on the day of examination.

On the examination day, the students need to reach their respective examination centre in school uniform and must carry school identity card in addition to the admit card issued by CBSE.

The board has mentioned that apart from the mandatory documents, students are only allowed to carry the stationery items along with them. Students cannot carry mobile phones, smart watches or any electronic devices inside the examination hall.

The guidelines issued by CBSE also mentions that candidates should refrain themselves from spreading rumors and posting any material on social websites including YouTube, WhatsApp and Twitter.

The board had already issued the timetable for the examinations of both the classes. Class 10 board exams will commence from February 21  and end on March 29 while class 12 exams will be from February 15. The date sheet issued by board informed that results are expected to be declared in June.

However, some schools will soon start the admission process for admissions in class 11. The application process for changing schools will actually begun after the examinations.

This has changed the schedule of the students who are now busy preparing for the examinations. The course of all the subjects has been completed by now and pre-boards conducted.
