Former Parliamentary Affairs Minister Rajendra Rathore on Tuesday targeted the Congress government over farmers’ debt waiver issue. He said that the Congress, which announced the loan waiver to farmers in ten days after the formation of government in the state, has not even been able to make its roadmap. Rathore demanded to know from the government if it had the list of the farmers who committed suicide and from where it got these figures.

While addressing the press conference at BJP’s headquarters, Rathore targeted the Ashok Gehlot government on the issue of the proposed Kisan rally of Congress President Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday in Jaipur, debt waiver of farmers and the Economically Backward Class (EBC) reservation. “The entire government has been preparing for the proposed rally of Rahul Gandhi on January 9 in Jaipur. There is more work in government for one week”, said Rathore.  Rathore said that the convenor of the cabinet sub-committee of the State Government is saying that “150 farmers in the state committed suicide due to economic reasons. According to him, 70 farmers of Hadauti region have committed suicide. I want to know that where from he got these figures. I demand that the government release a list of 150 farmers”.

He said that RaGa had counted one to ten in the election rallies and said their government would waive the farmers’ debt in ten days. The government has not been able to make a road map of debt waiver so far.
