As the ticket distribution time is nearing, the candidates are leaving no stone unturned in show of strength. The scene at the BJP state headquarters was no different on Saturday.
If on one hand BJP workers are protesting against the sitting party legislators, on the other hand the same legislators are sending their supporters to party headquarters to ensure they get tickets. Hundreds of BJP workers from Malpura constituency protested against MLA Kanhaiya Lal Choudhary at BJP headquarters on Saturday. The party workers accused the MLA of illegal bajari mining.
The ruling party’s MLAs and ministers are being opposed in many assembly constituencies across the state. BJP workers from Malpura were carrying banners on which slogans against Choudhary were written. “The MLA did not give importance to the party workers for five years. That is why we want that ticket should ne given to some other person in Malpura. Also, the place has a trend that the sitting legislator do not win for the second time in a row,” Ramratan, a BJP worker from Malpura said.
Similarly, the local unit of BJP is protesting against MLA Narpat Singh Rajvi from Vidyadhar Nagar assembly constituency of Jaipur city. District office bearers of Vidyadhar Nagar area, Shakti Kendra heads and five mandal presidents wrote a letter to chief minister Vasundhara Raje and state president Madan Lal Saini regarding the same. In the letter, the party workers wrote that BJP will not be able to win if Rajvi is handed over the ticket. Health minister and Malviya Nagar MLA Kalicharan Saraf also faced dissent, but his supporters made all the attempts to highlight his success.
