Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in Rajasthan is eyeing to cash in on the infighting within the BJP and Congress. AAP’s national spokesperson Alka Lamba sighted the issue at a press conference in Jaipur on Saturday, saying, “Everyone knows about the ‘drama’ on appointment of the state BJP  president and tug-of-war between Ashok Gehlot and Sachin Pilot in Congress,” said Lamba. “Unlike these parties, AAP will contest election on issues of public concern,” she added.

AAP released second list of candidates on Friday and declared to field candidates on all 200 seats in the upcoming elections. The party intends to break through the image of Rajasthan as a ‘two-party’ state. The party manifesto is scheduled to be released on August 30. An outline of the manifesto drafting process was shared by the party leaders during the presser..

“It will be a manifesto based on 22-point criteria and will be prepared in accordance to suggestions made by public,” said party chief spokesperson Saurabh Bharadwaj. “It will not be like those copy paste manifestos prepared by the leaders sitting in air conditioned rooms. It will have issues close to farmers, students and youth,” he added.

AAP has adopted the similar strategy that it implemented in Delhi assembly election. As part of it, direct public interactions are being held across the state and soon health camps will also be held.
