Rajasthan: 5 IAS, 116 RAS officers transferred in latest order

Within three days of a major reshuffle, the state government has transferred five IAS officers and 116 RAS officers on Monday. In the latest reshuffle, the poor functioning of the department of personnel (DoP) officials has been exposed once again. The department forced to re-designate four out of five IAS officers who were transferred on July 19, says the list which was issued in the wee hours on Monday.

IAS Ravi Jain who was made Agriculture commissioner has been made school education commissioner. He has replaced Anandi, now transferred as joint secretary in the finance department.

Shankar Lal Kumawat who was made Rajasthan Housing Board commissioner as per the list was made the joint secretary of tribal area development whereas Anupama Jorwal was appointed as Sirohi district collector, according to an official order released late on Sunday night. Sirohi district collector Babulal Meena was given the charge of joint secretary, PHED.

In state administrative services, 116 RAS officers were transferred and re-designated. Over two dozen RAS officers were kept on awaited posting order (APO) list. The officers in the APO list will report to the department of personnel, according to the official order. Notably, three days ago, 30 IAS and 75 IPS officers were transferred and re-designated in the state.

Recently, with a major bureaucratic reshuffle of 30 IAS officers, the government changed heads of three civic agencies entrusted with the tasks of infrastructure, civic and housing projects in Jaipur. In the top-level bureaucratic changes, the ACS (UDH) Pawan Kumar was bestowed with the responsibility of a key LSG department while ACS- Rajhans Upadhyay and Rajeev Swarup, had been given charge of single department.
