Moreover, the elite sportspersons who have applied for the position, will be exempted from a written examination as well. The recruitment from the eight TSP districts will be done in the newly constituted Mewar Bhil Corps of the Rajasthan Police.
Girls and boys from the districts of Pali, Rajsamand, Banswara, Pratapgarh, Dungarpur, Udaipur, Sirohi and Chittorgarh who have played at the national and international level can apply for position in the Corps. “Recognised sports like bodybuilding, badminton, volleyball, kabaddi, shooting, gymnastic, taikwondo, weight lifting, judo, wushu, wrestling, boxing, archery and athletics would be given preference for both female and male international sportspersons.
Moreover, only the male sportspersons playing basketball, swimming, handball, hockey, football and horse riding will be selected,” said Prashakha Mathur, inspector general, recruitment.
The candidates would only be selected for the position of constables in the Mewar Bhil Corps.
“The sportspersons who have played individual or team sport at international level recognized by the Indian Olympic Association or any national sports federation will be eligible. In addition, those players who have played at international level in tournament of Indian School Sport Federation or any concerned recognised national school games federation would also be eligible to apply for the reserved category,” the IG informed.

Notably, for recruitment on 623 vacant positions of constable in the Corps, 584 positions have been kept for general constabulary while remaining will be divided between the positions of drivers and band. Candidates would only be selected for the position of constables in the Mewar Bhil Corps.
