Rahul to sound poll bugle with sammelans

Apart from Banswara event on July 19, the Congress vice president is expected to address similar events in Bikaner and Bharatpur divisions

The Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi will be holding a Kisan Sammelan in Banswara on July 19 and with it he would be sounding the bugle for the party’s preparations of next year’s Assembly elections in the state.

During the next six months Rahul Gandhi would be attending the Kisan Sammelans in different divisions in the state that would be organised by the Congress.   

Apart from a Kisan Sammelan in Udaipur division’s Banswara district on July 19, it is expected that similar events will be held in Bikaner and Bharatpur divisions.  

The farmers and tribal are considered as the traditional vote bank of the Congress and because of this mostly the party high command holds Kisan Sammelan and rallies in tribal areas of Bansawra, Dungarpur, Baran districts in preparations for the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha elections. To add to this the party’s national vice president will be holding Kisan Sammelan in Banswara keeping an eye on the State Assembly polls.

According to sources, Rahul Gandhi’s next Kisan Sammelan could be held in Churu district of Bikaner division in the month of September. While on the other hand third such event could be held in an area which joins Bharatpur and Kota divisions. However, no official time table had been decided for these events, but it is expected that the third Kisan Sammelan could take place in November.    

According to sources, all the three Kisan Sammelan will be organised under the leadership of Pradesh Congress Committee chief Sachin Pilot.

Sources say that once again Rahul Gandhi is trying to convey a direct message to the Congress leaders of Rajasthan that the next Assembly election in the state will be fought under the leadership of Sachin Pilot.

With the Sammelan in Banswara he would be sounding the bugle for the party’s preparations of next year’s Assembly elections in the state. During the next six months Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi would be attending the Kisan Sammelans in different divisions in the state that would be organised by the Pradesh Congress Committee.
