According to the sources in the Pradesh Congress Committee, Rahul Gandhi is likely to hold a rally in Shekhawati’s Sikar district in second week of the month.

Congress president Rahul Gandhi is likely to kick off the election campaign for the assembly elections in Rajasthan from Shekhawati region. According to the sources in the Pradesh Congress Committee, Rahul Gandhi is likely to hold a rally in Shekhawati’s Sikar district in second week of the month.
He is expected to offer prayers at Khatu Shyam ji temple there, a source said. The party has planned his rally in Shekhawati region to woo the jat community which abounds in this region.
Jats have traditionally remained in alliance with the Congress but voted for the BJP in last assembly elections in 2013. Sources said Gandhi’s rallies have been planned in poll-bound Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Chattisgarh. He would he covering the states in a phased manner, they added.
