Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address an election rally in Jaipur on Tuesday after five years. The Prime Minister will address a joint rally of 13 Assembly constituencies of Jaipur district on Tuesday at the Vidhyadhar Nagar Stadium.

He is expected to arrive at the airport in the evening and will reach the stadium by road this time. Earlier, in July this year when he had come to Jaipur, he had reached the Amrudon ka Bagh by helicopter from the Jaipur airport. However, this time, the police are making arrangements for his travel by road.

During his road show in Jaipur, BJP candidates of 13 assembly constituencies and senior party leaders will be present by his side. BJP has set the target to mobilize crowds of about three lakh to make this election campaign a historic rally. This is the second visit of PM Modi to Jaipur within five months. The Prime Minister had addressed the beneficiaries of government schemes at the Centre and in state in Jaipur in July this year. After the announcement of assembly elections, Modi will hold the first election rally in Jaipur on Tuesday.

Modi had addressed a public meeting in Jaipur on September 10, 2013 ahead of the last assembly elections. He had addressed the rally at the Amrudon Ka Bagh near Ambedkar Circle. Modi was then the Chief Minister of Gujarat. As Prime Minister, Modi will address the first election rally in Jaipur on Tuesday. In 2013, Modi’s public meeting which was held in Jaipur was a historic feat believed to be attended by 2 lakh beneficiaries, party workers and leaders.

“Recently, the High Court had banned public meetings at the Amrudon Ka Bagh. Hence, the election rally of PM will be held at the Vidhyadhar Nagar Stadium,” a party official said. Voting will take place on December 7 in the state. By bringing in Modi, the BJP is trying to improve the chances of its sitting legislators in Jaipur. According to sources, the state BJP leadership has set a target of mobilizing about 3 lakh people to Jaipur city and Jaipur rural unit in PM’s election rally. The BJP unit of each assembly constituency has targeted to bring in 30 thousand people.

Modi’s rally is expected to have an impact on 19 Assembly constituencies of Jaipur district. Prime Minister will address eight assembly constituencies of Jaipur city, Adarsh Nagar, Malviya Nagar, Hawa Mahal, Kishanpole, Sanganer, Bagru, Civil Lines and Vidyadhar Nagar and five assembly constituencies of Jaipur rural Dudu, Amer, Jhotwara, Chomu and Jamwaramgarh.

The Monitors

BJP’s state election in-charge and union minister Prakash Javadekar and Jaipur Rural MP and Union Minister Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore are monitoring the preparations of Modi’s rally. “We have decided to bring in 25 to 30 thousand people from each assembly constituency,” said Sanjay Jain, president of BJP’s Jaipur city unit.
