Congress and BJP sparred over Bhamashah scheme on Thursday. After, Congress candidate Raghu Sharma’s criticism of the flagship scheme of Vasundhara Raje government, BJP’s national vice president Avinash Rai Khanna accused the Congress of insulting Bhamashah.“The Congress is trying that people do not get benefit of welfare schemes for poor by the government,” Khanna alleged.

Earlier, Raghu Sharma while campaigning in Kucheel village in Pushkar assembly constituency described Bhamashah as useless. “Such schemes are worth putting off in dustbin. People get no benefit from them. The Congress when it will form government after assembly election later this year will replace these schemes by new schemes of its own.”

However, the BJP soon went on offensive as Khanna said that Sharma’s statement is insult to philanthropist Bhamashah. “Bhamashah is an ambitious scheme through which the BJP governments have been trying to ensure that benefits go directly to people’s account but the Congress is more concerned about its own welfare,” he said.
