All India Congress Committee general secretary Ashok Gehlot on Monday said that opposition’s mega alliance was need of the hour. Talking to media at his residence in Jaipur, he said the alliance has evolved beyond a political arrangement and has become a public demand.
The Congress leader also cautioned the smaller parties about the ‘threat’ from the BJP. “In their executive meeting, they said that if voted to power this time they shall occupy government for 50 years. It is a threat to democracy itself,” said Gehlot, ina bid to open up alliance talks further.
